What do the locals love? Peace Outfitters for Hiking and Camping.
What hiking trails and camping spots do the locals love?
I visited Peace Outfitters on Route 66 in beyootaful Flagstaff, to ask local hiking and camping specialists about their favorite trails and camping spots.
Peace Outfitters is huge! It's right on Route 66 and has everything! Their motto is - If it's Outdoors, It's Us! Walk through the store you know this is true!
Ailin McCullough is the key holder at Peace Outfitters. His favorite hikes are The Elden Slabs, which are the south facing granite slabs and is something of a scramble, Pumpkin Trail at Kendrick Peak, and West Clear Creek in Happy Jack.
Cooper Smith is the Equipment Purchaser. His favorite hikes are AB Young Trail in Oak Creek Canyon, and going camping? He suggests the Edge of the World!
Aaron Horton is in sales and loves water. He loves the Kachina Trail on the East Side of the parking lot at Arizona Snowbowl.
Camping? Of course the Blue Ridge Reservoir. Do Paddle Board Camping!
He also loves a long hike on Pumphouse Wash.
Kylie Hostetter is also in sales. She loves the Griffiths Springs Trail, the Kendrick Park Area and Loy Canyon in Sedona.
